Superbad 2007 DVD

Superbad is a 2007 comedy written by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. They began writing the script when they were 13 years old to see if they could make a movie. The film is directed by former television director Greg Mottola and is produced by Judd Apatow, previously known for directing The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up.

Evan (Michael Cera, on the right on the DVD cover above) and Seth (Jonah Hill, on the left) are co-dependent seniors who are preparing to leave high school. Evan goes to a school that is too advanced for Seth; Seth blames Evan for not settling for less so that they can go to the same school. Evan considers this selfish.

Evan likes Becca (Martha MacIsaac), but Seth explains to Evan why he hates her: years ago he was very fond of making drawings of penises, including objects and people in the form of a penis (many shown in the film, partly also in the end credits), but she found out and got him into trouble by reporting it.

Garfield Gets Real is a computer-generated animated movie starring Garfield the Cat, produced by Paws, Inc. in cooperation with Wonderworld Studios and distributed by Twentieth Century Fox. Live Free or Die Hard (released as Die Hard 4.0 or Die Hard 4 outside North America and also known as Die Hard 4: Live Free or Die Hard) is the fourth installment in the Die Hard film series. It stars Bruce Willis as John McClane, the protagonist of the first three films. The film takes place some 19 years after the first film, and sees McClane face a gang of cyber terrorists. The film’s North American release date was June 27, 2007. The film was based on the 1997 article “A Farewell to Arms” written for Wired magazine by John Carlin.
At the start of the film, a terrorist breaches a FBI facility’s computer system, and computer hackers are assassinated by the terrorist mastermind Thomas Gabriel (Timothy Olyphant), instead of being paid for their collaboration. The FBI, unaware of the killings, dispatches NYPD Police Detective John McClane (Bruce Willis) to visit a known hacker, Matthew Farrell (Justin Long), as part of their investigation regarding the breach. Gabriel’s henchmen attempt to assassinate McClane and Farrell, but their targets escape. McClane transports Farrell to the FBI’s Washington DC headquarters and its head, Assistant Director Bowman (Cliff Curtis), in the midst of a shutdown of the traffic system in DC. The stock market is manipulated shortly afterward, causing it to crash.

Rescue Dawn

Rescue Dawn is a 2007 movie starring Christian Bale and Steve Zahn. It is written and directed by Werner Herzog, based on the director’s acclaimed 1997 documentary, Little Dieter Needs to Fly. NBA all-star Elton Brand is the film’s producer through his production company Gibraltar Entertainment, which he co-owns with partner Steve Marlton. Dieter Dengler, a U.S. Navy pilot, is shot down over Laos at the beginning of the Vietnam War while on a top-secret mission. He survives the crash only to find himself closely pursued, and his efforts to avoid capture are ultimately unsuccessful. Dieter is given the chance for mercy if he signs a document condemning America, but he refuses. Instead, he is taken to a prison camp. There he meets fellow American military members and Air America pilots, some of whom have been captive for years. Dieter begins planning an escape, to the disbelief of his fellow captives, who have been downtrodden through physical and psychological torture from the camp guards.
