Superbad is a 2007 comedy written by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. They began writing the script when they were 13 years old to see if they could make a movie. The film is directed by former television director Greg Mottola and is produced by Judd Apatow, previously known for directing The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up.
Evan (Michael Cera, on the right on the DVD cover above) and Seth (Jonah Hill, on the left) are co-dependent seniors who are preparing to leave high school. Evan goes to a school that is too advanced for Seth; Seth blames Evan for not settling for less so that they can go to the same school. Evan considers this selfish.
Evan likes Becca (Martha MacIsaac), but Seth explains to Evan why he hates her: years ago he was very fond of making drawings of penises, including objects and people in the form of a penis (many shown in the film, partly also in the end credits), but she found out and got him into trouble by reporting it.
