“The Empty Acre” is the story of a family that moves to a small farming community in rural Kansas. Once they move there they realize that something isn’t exactly right with the land that they live on. There are strange occurrences, and abnormal activity starts occurring around the couple’s home. As the story moves along you notice that a strange black shadow that casts itself around the town at night may have something to do with it, but what exactly? Everything then turns into a nightmare for the couple when one evening they notice that their newborn child is missing in the middle of the night without proof of a breaking and entering. At this point you see the couple descent into madness as they try and figure out what happened to the young boy.
